1. Scope and product-specific notices
This policy applies to all software, games, websites, and services published under the Stackaya name unless a product provides a separate privacy notice. Because our products may have different features, a product page, store listing, in-app notice, or supplemental policy may describe additional processing. If a supplemental notice conflicts with this policy, the more specific notice applies to that product.
2. Information we may handle
We design our products to use as little personal information as reasonably possible. Depending on the product and features you use, information may include:
- Product and device data: progress, settings, activity, language, device type, operating system, app version, crash details, and similar technical information.
- Information you provide: messages or details you send when requesting support, reporting a problem, creating a listing, joining a playtest, or otherwise using or contacting our services.
- Purchase and platform data: limited transaction or entitlement information supplied by a store or distribution platform. We do not directly receive or store your full payment-card details unless a product-specific notice clearly states otherwise.
- Online service data: account identifiers, listings, multiplayer information, cloud saves, or analytics only when a product includes those features and the relevant notice explains their use.
Some products may store progress and preferences only on your device. Removing a product may remove that locally stored information.
3. How and why we use information
We may process information to provide and maintain a game; save progress and settings; respond to support requests; diagnose crashes and prevent abuse; verify purchases; improve performance and accessibility; comply with law; and protect players, Stackaya, and others. We use an appropriate legal basis under applicable law, such as consent, performance of a service requested by you, compliance with a legal obligation, or a legitimate interest that does not override your rights.
4. Service providers and platforms
Our games may be distributed or supported by third parties such as itch.io, app stores, hosting providers, game engines, crash-reporting services, or analytics providers. They may process information under their own privacy policies. We disclose information only as reasonably necessary for them to provide services to us, when you direct us to, or when required by law. We do not sell personal information.
5. Children’s privacy
Some Stackaya games may be suitable for families or young players. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information unless it is necessary for a clearly explained feature and appropriate consent is obtained where required. We aim to avoid behavioral advertising and unnecessary tracking in child-directed experiences. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information can contact us to request review or deletion.
6. Retention and security
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the stated purpose, legitimate business needs, dispute resolution, security, or legal requirements. Retention periods depend on the type of information and the product involved. We use reasonable organizational and technical safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
7. International processing
Some platforms and service providers may process information outside the Philippines. Where applicable, we take reasonable steps to use providers and safeguards intended to protect information consistently with applicable law.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to be informed; access, correct, or request deletion of personal information; object to or restrict processing; withdraw consent; obtain a copy of certain information; and lodge a complaint with the Philippine National Privacy Commission or another competent authority. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.
You can also limit certain processing through a game’s settings, your device permissions, or the controls provided by the platform where you obtained the game.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our games and legal obligations evolve. We will post the revised policy here, update the effective date, and provide additional notice when a material change requires it.
10. Contact us
